1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Language Lift, Inc. ("Language Lift", "we", "us"). By creating an account or accessing languagelift.org or app.languagelift.org, you signify your assent to these terms.

2. Account Registration & Security

You must provide authentic and up-to-date credentials upon registering. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your authentication credentials. Language Lift is not liable for unauthorized account access stemming from compromised personal credentials.

3. Subscriptions, Pricing & Cancellation

Language Lift provides a permanently free tier ("Free Plan", $0/mo) alongside premium subscriptions (e.g., "Pro Monthly" at $15/mo or "Annual Saver" at $8/mo billed annually at $96/yr):

• Billing Cycle: Paid plans renew automatically on a recurring monthly or annual basis until canceled.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your in-app account settings. Your access continues unabated until the conclusion of your current paid billing period.
• 14-Day Refund Guarantee: First-time purchasers are entitled to a no-questions-asked refund within 14 calendar days of payment by contacting support@languagelift.org.

4. Intellectual Property & User Content

All course curricula, linguistic explanations, interactive drill logic, and visual assets are the exclusive intellectual property of Language Lift, Inc.

You retain complete ownership of all written essays, journal entries, and custom study notes you submit to the platform. You may export your Vocabulary Bank and flashcard decks at any time without restriction.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Deploy automated scrapers, crawlers, or bots against platform APIs without express written authorization.
• Attempt to bypass subscription access gates or reverse-engineer the spaced-repetition algorithm and proprietary course databases.
• Distribute defamatory, unlawful, or infringing content through community discussion features or AI prompts.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Language Lift provides educational instruction "as is." While our curricula are authored and reviewed by accredited German linguists, we make no express guarantees regarding official CEFR exam passing scores or certification results. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Language Lift shall not be liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages.
